What's on Secret Art Sale 2020 Saturday 26th - Wednesday 30th September 2020 The art sale with a twist is back! The SECRET ART SALE is now in its fifth year. Royal Academicians, local artists, art students and many others, kindly donate work but, we don't reveal the artist name until the art is bought! The Secret Art Sale will look a little different this year and due to Covid-19 we sadly won't be able to hold our popular exhibition. The good news is that we will be running it online so you can get your hands on the artworks from wherever you are. We have already received amazing works by some well-known people (including Prof. Norman Ackroyd CBE RA, James Butler RA MBE, sculptor Alison Wilding RA, Prof. Ian Ritchie CBE RA, Nigel Hall RA, Dr. Janette Kerr RSA HON PPRWA, illustrators Axel Scheffler and Clare Mackie, TV script writer David Harsent and Deborah Meaden) so we can tell it will be yet another great show. All the works will be listed anonymously and each will be sold at a price of £40 on a first come, first serve basis*. This enables buyers to purchase works of art they like at an affordable price, whilst offering them the chance of owning work by a renowned artist or celebrity. Only when buyers receive their purchase will the name of the artist be revealed! *PLEASE NOTE - there is a limit of 2 art pieces per person until 2pm on the first day, to allow everyone the opportunity to buy something they like. Last year 376 works were kindly donated by a wide range of people. They were viewed by thousands, and almost all sold. We took over £19,000 – every penny of the profits have supported our charitable nature and heritage conservation work in the local area.
