The annual Home Produce Sale to raise funds for the upkeep of Vineyard Passage Burial Ground will take place on 29th June in the historic passage. There will be cakes, savouries and preserves (jams & chutneys) for sale - the one thing they all have in common is that they are homemade by wonderful volunteers. And of course will be very tasty!

The sale will take place between 10AM and 2PM. Be sure to get there early so you don't miss out!

Vineyard Passage Burial Ground is one of the lesser known treasures of Richmond. Tucked behind Paradise Road, it is a secluded and quiet wooded wildlife garden that is now maintained by an active group of volunteers.

The burial ground was consecrated in 1791, when the churchyard of St Mary Magdalene became too full. It was then closed for further burials in 1874. After lying undisturbed for 90 years it was transformed into a woodland garden.

The Friends of Vineyard Passage Burial Ground and Environment Trust now maintain the site, from restoring broken monuments and repairing the listed iron railings, to planting native shrubs.
